We’re Here…. Finally and WELCOME!

I’m so glad you’re here and reading this.  Lisa and I have been waiting for months to get everything setup and ready to hit the ground running.  For my first blog post, I’d like to explain how we got here and begin to scratch the surface of what our company can do for you!

After I early retired from AT&T in early 2021, I began to think a lot about future travel and all of the wonderful travel adventures my bride  of nearly 40 years Lisa, and our two wonderful kids had been on in the past.  This includes 18 cruises and at least 20 countries.

Unfortunately, COVID got in the way in 2021 and much of 2022 as the government issued “no sail” orders for the cruise lines and we had our hands full due to my beautiful daughter’s wedding, and the building of our forever home 630 miles away.

By 2023, we realized that while we wanted to do some traveling of our own, wouldn’t it be great to share our knowledge with family, friends, and acquaintances?  After doing market research for several months including a social media survey, it became clear that a lot of YOU have travel dreams as well!

But I knew I couldn’t do it on my own.  I knew how to book my own travel, but booking for others is something completely new.  I needed intensive training.  After months of research, we entered a partnership arrangement with Outside Agents, a subsidiary of Cruises and Tours Unlimited.  Doing so opened up so many doors including personal mentoring sessions, online agency training, and agent logins to every major cruise line and travel provider worldwide.

And thus, Four Palms Travel Services was born.  Hundreds of hours of training ensued as I became certified at the highest levels for Norwegian Cruise Line (Masters), Celebrity Cruises (Certified Travel Advisor) , Royal Caribbean Cruise Line (Masters Certification), Carnival Cruises (Diamond Level Travel Advisor), Disney (Certified College of Disney Knowledge - both Disney Cruises and Disney Resorts/Parks), Regent Seven Seas (Masters Level) Allianz Travel Insurance (Partner Certification).  Over the coming months, I’ll be testing for Cunard, Princess, AMA Waterways (European River Cruises), Viking, Delta Vacations, and Oceana.

While we’re clearly starting with a cruise-heavy market niche, that doesn’t mean we can’t book you on land or adventure tours, cruise and land packages, hotels, most any resort worldwide, or even airlines.  At this time however, we’re not planning to book people’s air-only travel… that’s a very high risk and low reward proposition.

The best part of this is that working with us doesn’t cost you anything.  We’re paid by the travel providers directly.  Four Palms will actually be able to save you money by not sending you out on a trip that you’re not going to love!  We’ll start by going through your wants and needs for your next vacation, and within 48 hours, you’ll have proposals with multiple options for your trip.  If you already know what cruise you want to go on and book directly with a cruise line, we can even service your booking if you let us know what your confirmation number is within 14 days of you making the reservation.
